The Goods: Benefit BADgal Plum Mascara

The Claim: “Benefit’s BADgal Plum highlights your natural eye color while adding length and volume to lashes.”
The Test: Common sense will tell you that using color-infused mascara will intensify your look with a touch of extra color.  Unfortunately, this mascara leaves your eyes looking slightly off color with their not-quite-black-or-brown finish that makes people wonder what type of look you were trying to achieve.

The idea of plum lashes may sound like holiday chic, but you’re better off sticking with the basics…unless, of course, you’re shooting for the teenybopper-experimenting-with-her-first-makeup-kit look.

TBD Case Notes: When you want to get a sultry purple eye look this season, stick with the shadows and liner with black mascara for a chic and sophisticated touch.  Save the plum-infused mascara for Halloween-style events.
